Like Never Before Final Weekly Update

What’s Happening?

This will be our final staff weekly update on the campus construction. Two years and 93 updates later, we are signing off now that construction is completed. Let’s take a walk back in time. Here is the very first update from October 22, 2018:

Like Never Before Project Update: Following a monumental moment in our church’s history as the congregation overwhelmingly voted to approve the financing needed to move forward with Like Never Before (with 93% approval), we want to respond like never before. As a church, we want to raise $2 million more in commitments before the end of the year, and we believe that this is possible and that we will see God move in powerful ways.

Milestone Moment: The groundbreaking for WACC’s new elevator is October 15th.

Even before that milestone moment, do you remember when WACC renovated the parking lot to accommodate more people on Sundays? We continued from there:

  • The renovation of the worship center lobby, restrooms, and added Guest Central
  • The elevator tower went in, ready to go in early 2019.
  • Building B, our kids’ ministry space, got a fantastic makeover, including a lovely new nursery.
  • The worship center construction started with our Groundbreaking Sunday in May 2019 and wrapped up in November 2020. ​
What a journey! God has faithfully enabled so many to make this come together and continues to bless with the generous donations of many. We are grateful to God.
Many worship together outdoors each weekend on the upper patio, using this sacred space to continue to grow in Christ in difficult days. We look forward to a time coming soon when we can all worship indoors in this new space once it is safe and wise to do so. Thank you for continuing in prayer for the ministry of WACC.

Generosity Update

God continues to work in the generous support of the WACC family. Thank you for your continuing gifts. Approximately $78,455 was given toward the Like Never Before building project during the week ending December 6, 2020.
